Hi this is my blog about my continuing battle to overcome my chronic addiction to heroin. After graduating from university I decided to accept a well paid job working within the financial services industry; to begin with everything was amazing. I signed a contract on a luxury apartment complete with gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Money was rolling in and my employers were impressed with my work. Drugs within the financial services industry are rife with many employees winding down after work with lines of cocaine and occasionally MDMA powder. It was a work hard, play hard ethic. With bosses actively encouraging our use of substances in the belief that drug use is fine as long as it doesn't impact upon your work and the figures being achieved. As time passed more and more of us were consuming silly amounts of high purity cocaine. Eventually cocaine was no longer enough and it is from this point that heroin manifested itself in my life.
